Happy Halloween!

We usually dont do much for Halloween but this year we had three different things to dress up for so we took full advantage of it.Harrison and his friends at playgroup dressed up for the day and made some cute little spiders for craft. He didnt keep his outfit on as you can see. Instead of calling him a mummy, which he thought meant he was dressing up as me hehe, we called him Bandage boy!

Along with a few of the cousins we decided to go trick or treating to eachothers homes and everyone looked so fun and scary! Emma was so excited. She actually wanted to have the one eyebrow and moles!

Here are a few of the others, Nathaniels pose is priceless!

Anael Fuente so serious. She must be in character.

The 3rd thing we were invited to was a 30th birthday of our close friend Kelly, so i dressed as a witch and Will was my Vampire! So much fun.

Not sure if we'll do these fun things every year but we may have to as the kids grow older.
But i must admit it was all great. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh)

Cricket Hair!

Harrison absolutely loves when his Daddy does his hair for him and always asks for either a Dinosaur (Mohawk) or Spiky. But this Sunday morning Harrison asked for Daddy to do his hair like a Cricket.....????? Will automatically looked at me as if i knew what he was talking about but soon realised i was as clueless as he. So Will played along and told Harrison that he could do it and told him how good his Cricket hair looked when finished. I had to take a picture because Harrison even looked at himself in the mirror and said YEAH DADDY! A CRICKET HAIR!! Hahaha So here it is...

Looks a little like a side Mohawk

Thanks Daddy!!!

Emma recently lost her 2 front teeth so here she is trying to hide them!
I think it's because i keep calling her my little Vampire ;)

Fairy Friend

Emma has had one of her front teeth trying to come out for SO long. The big tooth already popped up behind the baby tooth and basicully pushed it out. Its been wiggly for awhile. Today though, she was paying a little more attention to it and when Lelo (my dad) came over it was outta here. I told Emma that Lelo is really good at getting them out without hurting you. So she stood there while he tried to get a grip of it. It was funny because the tooth is tiny and my dad's fingers are huge hehe but its out!! And in this envelope ready for our fairy friend.

There is a little gap i hope will be filled soon ;)

My favorite part of our fun filled night was when Emma was washing her mouth out and there was some blood in the water. Harrison was watching her and said "Aww you poor little girl" hehe He often refers to her as His little Emma. CUTE!!

Emma's 1st day at Kindergarden

A sad but exciting Morning...

Emma got up nice and early and i helped her get ready for school. Harrison was not awake yet and Will had already left for work. It was just the two of us.
It was a quiet morning that I think I'll remember always. I helped her put on her dress, socks and shoes. I brushed her hair and put it in pony tails.
I began to talk to her about what she needed to do and what things to remember and a thought came to my mind. 'I wouldn't be there all day to tell her where she needed to be or that she needed to eat all her lunch. I have to let her go and trust that she will follow her teachers instructions. But what if her teacher was vague or unapproachable? What if Emma doesn't like her? The school is big what if she gets lost?' I think then was the only time I came close to crying. Just the thought of her starting a new chapter in her life. I really hope it all goes slowly and I can enjoy it. I had a flash forward moment where I pictured what it would be like getting her ready on her wedding day. But quickly changed my thought pattern before there really was some water works!

So i got my camera and began to take some photos....
She was so excited. She had been counting down the days for a week.

Emma, taking her first walk to school.
We got her a bag that fit everything she needed and didnt look too big for her.

Will made sure he was there for Emma and gave her a big cuddle and wished her luck on her big day. He also thought that turning up in uniform may discourage anyone who wants to mess with his little girl hahaha

Cheeky little thing!

Ashton also started with Emma. They are different classes but the rooms are next to eachother, which makes it easier for us mums. There is also quite a few kids from church going to this school and it was one of the reasons why we liked it.

Harrison loved Emma's classroom and wanted to stay longer. He got really upset when i made him leave but we did give emma big cuddles. He does miss her and constantly asks for her when we're at home. But it's gonna be nice to have some one on one time with him.

A couple of years ago i studied a little bit of Interior Decoration and i fell in love with it! I would like to one day continue with it but at the moment its just a hobbie. So when we bought our home i certainly had a few ideas on what i wanted and was pleasantly suprised at Will's talent for picking colours and creating a look in our home.

There are a few little personal touches i have made in my home that i love. I dont mind picking up a brush here and there, hmmm i am Mario Caballero's daughter hahaha
Anyways, here they are.

When you walk in the front door this is hopefully the first thing you see :) This chandelier is painted in brown paint on top of material which is stapled onto canvas.

Our bedroom has a interior sliding door so once you open it this in painted on the side of our built in. We screwed in little nobs so i could hang things on them.

I painted these canvases before i had Harrison... Love them!

Emma's tree. I wanted her room to look like a garden... We're getting there.

I would love to one day say hi, yeah im an interior decorater and i specialize in childrens rooms!
but i have ALOT to learn still... dream, dream, dream.

Princesses

Sometimes the only way to get through to my little princess when she is doing something unladylike is to ask her "Emma, would Aurora do that?". Because thats her favorite princess.
Sometimes is works and she'll stop whatever it is she is doing. Other times she needs some extra pursuasion :)

But in saying that Princesses arnt always serious and boring right? They know how to have fun. They dance with animals in the forest, they sneak around after dark in enchanted castles and sometimes disobey their fathers.

So all in all i hope Emma learns to have manners and to be kind to all she deals with but i also hope she has a sense of humor and know how to have fun.
