A couple of years ago i studied a little bit of Interior Decoration and i fell in love with it! I would like to one day continue with it but at the moment its just a hobbie. So when we bought our home i certainly had a few ideas on what i wanted and was pleasantly suprised at Will's talent for picking colours and creating a look in our home.

There are a few little personal touches i have made in my home that i love. I dont mind picking up a brush here and there, hmmm i am Mario Caballero's daughter hahaha
Anyways, here they are.

When you walk in the front door this is hopefully the first thing you see :) This chandelier is painted in brown paint on top of material which is stapled onto canvas.

Our bedroom has a interior sliding door so once you open it this in painted on the side of our built in. We screwed in little nobs so i could hang things on them.

I painted these canvases before i had Harrison... Love them!

Emma's tree. I wanted her room to look like a garden... We're getting there.

I would love to one day say hi, yeah im an interior decorater and i specialize in childrens rooms!
but i have ALOT to learn still... dream, dream, dream.

Princesses

Sometimes the only way to get through to my little princess when she is doing something unladylike is to ask her "Emma, would Aurora do that?". Because thats her favorite princess.
Sometimes is works and she'll stop whatever it is she is doing. Other times she needs some extra pursuasion :)

But in saying that Princesses arnt always serious and boring right? They know how to have fun. They dance with animals in the forest, they sneak around after dark in enchanted castles and sometimes disobey their fathers.

So all in all i hope Emma learns to have manners and to be kind to all she deals with but i also hope she has a sense of humor and know how to have fun.

Hide and Seek

Since moving into our new home the kids have discovered a few good hiding places and we've had a few fun games of it recently. Hopefully in the near future the backyard will look less like a construction site and we'll have many more places to hide. But so far this is Harrison's fav place to be even when we're not playing...(and especially when Im trying to get him to finish his spaghetti) The pantry!

I quite like the size of it. Both kids can get in easily.... even I hide from them in there when they are driving me crazy or when I'm on an important call hehehe

Some cute pics...

Recently at a baby blessing Scarlett and Jony were kind enough to take some photos of everyone and I was able to get a hold of a few. These are my favorite! Thanks guys.

My handsome little man...

Our beautiful princess who only loves to wear dresses
that go up when she turns.

I love this picture and I love my gorgeous hubby!

Our home..

The living room is nice and big but it has a massive bar in it.. yuk.. So thats the first thing to go!
Oh and a special mention to the gorgeous wood laminate wall decor.. lovely hehe
The bit lying sideways is a chunk i ripped off.
In this picture Will's knocked the whole wall and bar out yay!

Our yellow support beam so our roof doesn't fall on us. Jony is in this pic making holes for our lights he'll eventually put in.

Will, Aaron & Neil putting up Giprock so our roof is level.

Roof done, Walls painted (thanks to all our friends and family who helped!) The wall on the right will eventually (when we have the money) have a big built in across it for Will's DVD's and our linen (because this house has no linen closet).

Our home right now! Our floors are done and our down lights are in. Most of our furniture is set up but we're only just putting our curtains up today (so the ugly blinds are in these photos) and our walls are pretty bare.

Despite the non smiling faces, the kids love it!

From drab to FAB! ..............Well i think so :)

The Host

I just finished reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer and I loved it.

Its totally different to the Twilight series but it also has a fantastic storyline.

Basically, Earth has been taken over by aliens by invading on human bodies and erasing personalities but keeping the body intact and continuing in a normal life. But the alien (Wanderer) takes over the body of Melanie Stryder who is resisting and does not want to give up her body. Wanderer and Melanie end up working together and with Melanies memories they end up traking down her past life and love.

I really enjoyed it and cant wait for the sequal!

Twilight

I Love Twilight! Just thought if anyone out there was wondering... he he he

I've read all four books (and midnight sun) and if your looking for a book to read i highly recommend them. Dont just watch the movie because its really just a taste of how good
the books truly are.

Ive also started reading another Stephanie Meyer book The Host and its great!!
So all in all i think any book written by her must be awesome!
Heres a pic for all the other fanpiers out there!

My Handy Men!

We're moving house soon and Will has been giving some of our furniture a revamp. So Harrison decided to give him a hand... "Come on Daddy, your taking too long" hehehe

Hop little bunny HOP HOP HOP!!!

Easter was crazy this year... Our kids got so many easter eggs.
It will take months for them to finish them all :)
We had a little easter egg hunt, quick in the bowl dont eat them yet!

Harrison wanted to eat all the eggs as he found them.

We went to Noni and Poppy's house for an easter egg hunt also.
Its a yearly tradition and we love it!

Noah's first Easter... and first big Choc rabbit!

So many easter eggs and chocolate rabbits!! YUM YUM!

**Award**

As usual lots has happened since my last post so here goes...

Will recieved a Region Commander's Commendation last month.
He helped arrest a man who had attacked his wife
and then he came at Will and his partner with a huge knife... Scary!
We went to the Raff Base in the mountains and it was a really nice day.

Will was the only constable who recieved a commendation,
the other Police Officers there had higher ranks so thats pretty cool.

I felt extremely proud of him.
His parents and grandparents were also there and they all beamed with pride also!

Confessions of a Scrapaholic...

I must confess... The reason why i don't blog as much as i'd like to is because I love SCRAPBOOKING!!! And honestly? I'd rather do that. It's hard to keep up with both and i applaud those who can. So I thought i'd share what i have done lately... This is what has been keeping me away... Enjoy... (my scanner is only A4 size so some of these pictures i had to stick together thats why they dont look 100%)

This photo was taken when we went to the Sydney Aquarium
for Emma's 4th Birthday outing.
Harrison Is looking at seals sunbaking and swimming around.

At Nathaniel's last birthday it was a dress-up party
and Emma hurt her foot so she watched from a stool.
I love how Logan the little fairy is in this picture playing.

Emma is as cute as ever and her fav thing in the world is to play dress-ups! When watching Beauty and The Beast one afternoon. She turned to me after seeing Belle crying in her room when the beast yells at her. "Mummy, she doesn't need to cry, she can just play dress-ups!"

Friends Forever!

These photos are the most gorgeous things ever!
With much begging and a little stealing i was able to get them
from Scarlett. But arn't you glad Tia, look how beautiful they are!

Daddy saves the day!

I got in trouble from someone for not blogging enough... I wont name names (Scarlett!!)
So I was looking through some pictures and come across these ones that are the most recent.

We were getting ready to go out and you know how it is with the kids... you finally have them all ready and then you look in the mirror and realize you look like a crazy person. So finally i start to do my hair and make-up, when i have a four year old asking me a million questions and i have a one year old crying and hitting my legs.
So after enduring that for a while... WILL!!!!!!! Help!!!!
So here is Daddy's solution! And boy did it work!
Horsey rides all round and bonus he got a leg workout he he
THANKS BABY!
